Mallory Tafoya, Choral Director

Ms. Tafoya is very excited to be starting her second year on the faculty at Woodland Middle School at Euharlee! She is from the county next door, born and raised in Woodstock, GA. She realized that her passion in music was leading her to pursue a career as a chorus teacher when she was in middle school.

Ms. Tafoya holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Choral, from Georgia Southern University. While attending GSU, she was a member of the auditioned Southern Chorale, with whom she competed in two international competitions, in Kentucky (2013) and in Budapest (2016). Ms. Tafoya also was a member of the a cappella ensemble, Fermata the Blue, and the University Singers. She was in the choruses of several opera productions, including Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (The Magic Flute) and Strauss' Die Fledermaus (The Bat).
